HFOSS Summer Institute Presentations
A week ago from today, the 2009 HFOSS Summer Institute wrapped itself up with presentations from six different groups. Presentations were made by the following groups:
- GNOME A11y - Rachel Foecking (Trinity), Ryan Gee (Wesleyan), and Foster Nichols (Wesleyan)
- INSTEDD - Nicolae Dragu (Trinity) and Fouad El Khoury (U. Hartford)
- OpenMRS - Sam De Fabbia-Kane (Wesleyan)
- POSIT at Trinity - Antonio Alcorn (UCONN), Gong Chen (Trinity), Chris Fei (Trinity), and Qianqian Lin (Wesleyan)
- POSIT at Conn - Phil Fritszche (Conn), James Jackson (Conn), and Khanh Pham (Conn)
- Collabbit - Eli Fox-Epstein (Wesleyan) and Dimitar Gochev (Trinity), though Dimiar was absent
Presentations seemed to be a great success. It seemed that all of the professors from Trinity, Wesleyan, Conn, UHart, etc thought we all did a great job. Our audience was simply captivated by the content of the presentations and of course, the charm of the presenters. From a presenter's point of view, I thought it was great to be able to share what we'd spent all Summer working on. And from a hungry person's point of view, I thought it was great that HFOSS had grilled burgers, hot dogs, and chicken for us after we were done.
Great job to the all the POSIT contributers and to all the rest of you.
